ATTRACTION IN PAHANG Hi everyone my name is Nur Natasha bt Moktar. What are the top Pahang attractions? Pahang is the largest state in Peninsular Malaysia with an area of nearly 36,000 sq. km. It is the third largest Malaysian state by area and ninth largest by population. It is thinly populated and vast tracts are given over to primeval rain forests, pristine national parks, huge freshwater lakes, formidable mountains and refreshingly cool hill stations. The state is divided into 11 administrative divisions called   daerah   (districts) - Pekan, Rompin, Maran, Temerloh, Jerantut, Bentong, Raub, Lipis, Cameron Highlands and Bera. The largest district is Jerantut, which is the main gateway to theTaman Negara   national park. Pahang's capital and largest city, Kuantan , is the eighth largest urban agglomerations by population in Malaysia. The royal capital and the official seat of the   Sultan Pahang   is located at   Pekan. Pekan was also the old state capital .
